Encore Limp mode...

Hi TJ again!

Well its done it twice - aka limp mode...dealer is saying that a value near the engine possibly froze thus moisture got into it thus causing it to go into limp mode. Supposedly it has been fixed....Had another problem today when starting it that the malfunction light came on and there was no gas pedal power to go into either drive or reverse, steering wheel locked up and car would have coasted down the incline that I was on. Am really losing faith in this Encore...anyone else having major problems like I am experiencing?? Have opened up a case with GM Customer Care as I am totally disappointed and losing faith in this brand new vehicle.

not that I've read on

keep records of everything that is happening to your Encore and all the transactions and conversations you have with your dealership

You should start bringing up the notion of a replacement car or a refund

Start looking into hire a lemon law lawyer

Know your local lemon laws.

Yup, get names of people you've spoken to, reference numbers, and what ever you can, at least there are people to be accountable to what happens to your vehicle. and not just a bunch of dead ends

Filing for lemon would be a good idea, just that it may not be easy but of course worth it. I say give it a shot, see what happens

Same here.
But not all dealers will approach a situation the same way, if they give me a hard time I'd just call corporate and see what they have to say.
