srw2 Just saw these ..... thanks for your responses. 18 months later, and having turned 40,000 miles last week, I still have the "low fuel" fluke every now and again. Sometimes all I get are the chimes, other times both chime and pop-up window. Only sometimes. It's a roll of the dice. I drove my Encore to and from Massachusetts last week (2,000 mile round trip), and didn't get the false alarm once. Go figure....

No fuel system problems, no false seat belt warnings, no other issues - it's just something I've come to live with. It's not a big annoyance, as I realize there are MANY MANY worse things one can have with a car. If it's fresh on my mind near my next service appointment, I might ask to have it looked at.

Seriously - 40,000 miles, and that's the worst "complaint" I've had about that little car. So far, so good.

I have the same problem!! 2019 Buick Encore Sport Touring erroneous low fuel warning

I also have a 2019 Encore Sport Touring and the same problem with erroneous low fuel warning. Mine started 2 months after owning the vehicle.

I also have false seat belt warnings even though I'm actually wearing my seat belt, the reverse gridlines have randomly disappeared and reappeared when I haven't changed any settings, and my reverse collision warning failed.

What other problems do you have?

Intermittent low fuel warning on startup

Re: 2019 Buick Encore Sport Touring, approx. 13k miles.

Car purchased in March, and still loving it. But there is one minor fluke which happens sporadically - but it seems to be a little more often lately: When starting the car, there'll sometimes be a quick four-chime sequence with the "low fuel" warning window. It disappears in a few seconds, before the gauges finish their little back and forth, then all is well. This happens with no rhyme or reason, and even when there's a full tank. It'll go days without happening, then - as with today - it's three times in a row.

I've never let it get so low as to pop the warning on its own (I'm one of those who rarely lets my gauge go lower than 1/4 tank, but anyway...). Otherwise, no false alarms while driving. Could this be a computer quirk corrected by a reflash? Or a hint of possible fuel system issues?
