the Encore rental I had returned 20 MPG's in the city with 3 passengers with some hard driving.

Rented an AWD model Encore in San Diego drove North 1100 miles on I 5 car had 4 adults and luggage drove with the flow of traffic and averaged 30.1 MPG........Mike

30mpg is not bad with a full load + luggage.

There is a big gap between the 20 mpg that one of you guys is getting and the 30 mpg that the other is getting. Why the huge gap?

Different driving styles.


mileage is hard to compare between two different drivers

i know personally i usually get poor mileage regardless what car I drive. Its my driving style.

The biggest difference, he's talking city driving I'm talking highway, and as suggested drive styles between individuals also makes a difference....Mike

driving styles, passengers, cargo, weather conditions, etc. many things factor into the number you get
