next generation refresh

what can we expect for the next generation of Encore?

will the fabled diesel finally make it to the table?

I think it might be another year before we see a refresh, it only came out in 2012 i think, so a mid-cycle refresh still can be a couple years away, maybe sooner

What are the main complaints that people have had about the current Encore? Its small, and that is both a positive and a negative, so I'm not sure that they will make it any bigger. Cargo space would fit under the same category.

I don't think they will offer a diesel in the US either. People always talk about it but it rarely ever actually happens.

What about self-driving tech, could we see it make it's way into the Encore? Being such a great family vehicle I think some self-driving tech could complement what it already offers

But I feel like self-driving features would be reserved for Cadillac. It is a delicate balance because Buick wants to make the Encore nice, but it can't make it too nice or it will start to encroach on the Cadillac brand.

I think if they take it through a slow process like lane assist and self parking and other minor things it shouldnt be too bad.

a back up assist would be good to have in a vehicle like this since it's for families, that's as far as i would like to see them go with it

Back up assist sounds like a good idea. Do you mean the back up cam and then the beeper to let you know how close you are to things?

I'm pretty sure that the back up cam is going to be standard on all vehicles pretty soon, so Buick may as well go with it now.
