Encore EV

Yes the Encore really is tiny, very much a Chevy Sonic on steroids... How come they dont have an Encore EV? The Gamma II platform Encore rides on is shared with the Spark EV as well, and they're manufactured in the same facility...

Would you buy one? What if it was Hybrid?

i don't think buck is at that stage yet, just look at where they are currently, what they have to offer and what products they have put out so far.

the verano hasn't done so well with sales, i think the encore is one of the vehicles they hope will do better.

leave the EV stuff to Chevy and Cadillac.

I don't think money is at that level yet, just look at where they are currently, what they have to provide and what items they have put out so far.

It might not be happening right now but I can see it coming in the next couple of years. The EV craze is in the works so it would be smart to jump in to the bandwagon too.

Its in the OP, the Encore is based on the Gamma II platform, which is shared with the Chevy Spark, which is an EV, Which is made in the same factory as the Encore...

GM could transition Buick into the environmentally friendly brand, they could go from old men to hipseters over night...

although if i was hip i'd go riviera everytime...

Would be hard to sell a vehicle at this price point in EV.

Though the Chevrolet Spark has an EV model and that is a cheap priced model.

The Encore seems like a good size to become a hybrid. And we know that GM has the tech to put in it. I can't see the Encore turning into an EV, but I could see it get the hybrid treatment.

I think a Buick Encore Hybrid will be more likely than an EV model

But both are going to be tough as there isn't much room for those huge lithium batteries.
